High-throughput Platform for Dynamic Phenomics of Plant Seedlings

DynaPlant® is a high-throughput platform for dynamic imaging of plant seedlings which is capable to provide kinetics in a space resolution of micrometers and time resolution of minutes. It is designed to fulfil the demands for large-scale screening and phenomics.

DynaPlant

High Throughput

The octa-arm scaffold supports up to 16 petri dishes with size of 100×100mm installed vertically. We have two camera modules provided in the standard pack. The local-view module has a field of view of 9.0×6.0mm with physical resolution of 1.2 μm/pixel. Up to 300 samples can be imaged simultaneously within a 5-minute cycle. Up to 960 samples are feasible if the interval of imaging cycles can be elongated. The plate-view module has a field of view of 100×100mm to capture the whole plate in one image.

High-resolution Imaging

With the help of our customized 36MP full-frame camera and the 4× bi-telecentric macro lens, DynaPlant® implements the ultra-fine resolution of 1.2 μm/pixel. The extremely low distortion of the lens ensures the accuracy of measurement.

High-accuracy 3D motion platform

When measuring the subtle changes in growth parameters, DynaPlant® provides a 3D motion platform with positioning accuracy of 1 μm, which enables the continuous dynamic imaging and tracking of seedling growth.

Multiple Experimental Conditions

Perform pre-programmed experimental treatments individually or in combination as wish:

Light Control

Wave-length, light intensity, light period, light direction can be set up and scheduled before imaging.

Growth in dark: 940nm infrared light is used as illumination light.

Multiple cultivation lights:

Light directions: top,side

Temperature/Humidity Control

DynaPlant® provides an airtight chamber to control the internal temperature and humidity.

Gas Component Control

The gas control module measures the real-time reads of O2, CO2, C2H4 concentrations. The gas controller can maintain the above gas components at a pre-set target concentration by feeding from external gas sources. More optional gas components are available to meet our clients’ request.

Gravity Module

Gravity disturbance mode:

rotating in a low speed continuously to disturb the gravity effect to plants

Fixed-angle mode:

rotating in a pre-set angle to study gravitropism. Positioning accuracy better than 0.1°

Chemiluminiscence

DynaPlant® can also quantify the chemiluminiscence intensity. The chemiluminiscence module equipped with an ultra-high sensitivity cooling CCD camera to detect weak signals, which best suits the studies on the circadian clock.
